PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

John’s passion for movement, performance, and rehabilitation began early in life through his involvement in competitive sport. He entered the fitness industry in 2011 as a Personal Trainer and has since built a distinguished career across fitness, rehabilitation, and performance.

His professional journey includes extensive tertiary education and practical experience as a Personal Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, and Physiotherapist. With multiple master’s degrees and specialised training, John has developed deep expertise in anatomy, rehabilitation, nutrition, and high-performance sport.

John is passionate about sharing this knowledge with students, making complex concepts accessible while encouraging critical thinking and practical application. His goal is to help future fitness professionals not only understand theory but also confidently apply it to real-world scenarios.

Current Role at NHFA

At NHFA, John contributes as a Coach and Educator, bringing his extensive background in exercise physiology, physiotherapy, and performance to the classroom. He mentors students through their Certificate III & IV in Fitness, with a strong focus on anatomy, rehabilitation, and performance programming—equipping them with both confidence and competence as future Personal Trainers.

Personal Touch

Outside of work, John enjoys training at the gym, immersing himself in nature, and traveling abroad to experience new cultures. He also loves the challenge of learning new languages—always looking for ways to expand his horizons both personally and professionally.
