Really smart and relatable coaches who have been in the fitness industry for a long time. Makes learning and coming to class each week exciting and enjoyable. They all offer different areas of expertise so you learn so much variety from them.

Encouraging, fun, fill of knowledge!

Great experience with NHFA! As a deaf person, I wasn't sure how accessible the course was and while it wasn't perfect, Dave, Melinda and the coaches did everything they could to ensure I could still access the classes and sessions and made me feel included. I loved the different coaches NHFA have as they brought their own wealth of knowledge to the classes and really engaged my interest. I really enjoyed the course content and the coaches and have made great friendships in the class. Would highly recommend NHFA if you are interested in pursuing personal training.

Just finished the full time course at Bundall and loved every minute of it! After studying Criminology at university, this was the start of a completely different path for me. From the start I was definitely nervous as I didn’t know what to expect, but the coaches, staff and other students made me feel so comfortable. Dave and the rest of the coaches all specialise in different areas of health and fitness, which made their classes enjoyable and filled with so much valuable information. Not only has the course provided me with the skills to transition straight into becoming a qualified personal trainer, but it’s also allowed me to learn new things that I can incorporate into my own training as a rugby player. Overall, I recommend this course to anyone who is thinking about starting their fitness journey. I’ve made some amazing friends along the way, and look forward to starting my career as a personal trainer.

Best course out!

From start to the finish it was amazing, the way we were taught was, in my opinion, one of the best ways to learn. All of the coaches we had were informative and made the classes fun! I would recommend NHFA to anyone looking to get into the fitness industry!

I wanted to be a Personal Trainer because I love working out and doing my own thing in the gym, and I wanted to make other people feel as amazing as I do when I reach goals or see a little bit of difference in my own body. I was working in hospitality as a barista and had had enough. 

As soon as I met Dave from NHFA he made me feel so comfortable and really believed in me as I had a lot of self-doubt, NHFA was really professional and very affordable.

I did the face to face course for my certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness through NHFA and I can highly recommend this course. Being a practical learner it was so important to have the face to face interaction to push me through and keep me accountable.

Prior to the fitness industry, I worked in real estate for 9 years, although I enjoyed it, it was not something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. Fitness is where my passion is and I decided to take the leap of faith and study my cert 3 & 4. Once qualified I started group classes as well as 1:1 PT, I dropped my realestate to part time and 3 months later I was able to resign and work as a full time PT. Fast forward another 3 months I opened my own gym and 12 months down the track I have 5 employees, running 28 classes per week and multiple PTs in between each class.

Being a professional cyclist for 15 years I have always had an interest in health and fitness. I am so pleased I chose NHFA to do my fitness qualifications as I am learning so much through the online platform. Because all the modules are video's of Dave and the other coaches teaching an actual class it made it so easy for me to follow. He teaches in a way that makes difficult concepts easy to understand and because the theory is all online I can rewatch it if I don't quite get it the first time. I'm enjoying connecting with the coaches and my classmates in our weekly Zoom class where our coach recaps the modules we've done the previous week and holds a Q&A session. I can't wait until we can go back into the gyms and complete the practical side and put all we've learned in place.

I have recently had the pleasure of doing the Business Mentor Course offered by the National Health and Fitness
Academy and presented by Dave Burgis. After completing my certificate III & IV in fitness I decided that it was a
natural progression to continue on to the Mentor Program. Nowhere have I seen or found a program that offers
such practical and extensive insight into the outside aspects of being a personal trainer and the business side of
what is involved.

Although the skills and confidence I gained through the certificate III & IV were amazing the benefits gained
through the mentor course sends it to the next level. The course for me covered things that are normally not
touched on aspects such as marketing, hidden psychology, managing finance, extended sales, nutrition. The
extraordinary amount of wisdom, knowledge and strategies were way above even my expectations.
